Under our NRCP program, we have trained more than 10,00,000 farmers across India in the Direct-Sown Rice (DSR) technique. DSR enables farmers to drastically reduce production costs and water usage.
In APEP, we train farmers in good agricultural practices and the latest available technologies so as to ensure better yield. We have trained more than 10,000 farmers across multiple states under this program.
In the FPML program, we adopt a market-based approach. We take the requirements and specifications from food processing companies and then, go backwards and train farmers to produce ‘exactly’ what is required by the food processors. More than 6,000 farmers have been linked to markets under this program.
TTP, our cutting-edge program, selects the most promising technologies and applications available in the market and tests them with our farming communities. This innovative approach allows us to gauge their overall impact and acceptability before formulating a scaling-up plan. Some of the solutions we have piloted include dedicated set-top boxes, mobile apps for farm management, mobile apps for weed identification, soil health practices, etc. Our pilot programs have already reached over 10,000 farmers across India, showcasing our commitment to technological advancement in agriculture.
